How did you get into the industry?
I decided to get into the franchise industry, so I could grow my brand, with a team of people, without having to sacrifice time with my family. I have a passion for helping people and I believe 100% in entrepreneurship. Franchising is great because you have the opportunity to help give people the confidence, direction and support they need to own their own business and take control of their lives.
What is your specific role and your responsibilities within the company?
With Kika Stretch, I do it all!! I’m in marketing, operations, legal and personal coaching, it’s literally the longest job description you could imagine, but it’s fun, fulfilling and my passion. For my role with Franchise Marketing Systems, I help business owners navigate when, how and whether to franchise their business.
What is your favorite part about what you do?
I love traveling and going to new cities to set up locations. I am just thrilled to help people get into business, it’s many times the first time they have owned a business and it’s both scary and thrilling at the same time, I just help them see the path forward!
Where do you see opportunities or challenges for the franchise moving forward?
I see more and more opportunities, as people are looking for ways to control the outcome of their future, through financial freedom. Even moreso with the pandemic and what’s going on, there are a lot of people who need direction and opportunity.
Tell us about what of your favorite moments/success stories in your current role.
One of my favorite moments was when I had a new franchisee hit 5 figures in one month for the first time. I was excited to see their success and ability to grow.
What was the most difficult moment in your current role?
The most difficult moment in my current role was when I had to inspire franchisees during the pandemic weekly. It was a tough time for everyone, but as the leader, I had to motivate, during a heavy time of uncertainty.
How do you motivate others?
I always come from a place of honesty. This allows my words to be authentic and useful.
